Level One Field Experiences

Start building confidence as a future teacher right away. Your courses include a blend of lecture and application.

You'll have plenty of hands-on, experiential learning opportunities, such as level one field experiences. These real-world experiences are integral to developing the practical skills and knowledge you'll need to succeed as an educator.

In the second year of this program, you'll go out into the classrooms and begin active level one observations with cooperating teachers.

Teaching Portfolio

You will develop a portfolio of teaching strategies and tools. Prepare lesson plans, activity packets, teaching aides, and more.

Classroom Technology

Experience the technology of the modern-day classroom, including electronic assessment practices and interactive technology on whiteboards, iPads, and laptops.

Your AA in Secondary Education is designed to transfer because you will need to complete at least a bachelor's degree to become a teacher. We help make transferring as easy as possible.

An articulation agreement is a formal partnership between Âé¶¹Íø and another college or university that helps make sure the classes you take count toward your transfer.

Âé¶¹Íø holds articulation agreements in education at the (Cedar Falls) and (Fayette and Waterloo).
