All current credit students, non-credit students, and college employees have their primary phone number, and Â鶹Íø email address automatically loaded into Â鶹Íø Alert from their student or employee record.

Please note:

• You can login to the Â鶹Íø Alert system with your Â鶹Íø email address or your primary phone number.
• You will automatically be removed from the Â鶹Íø Alert system when you leave the college or graduate.
• Â鶹Íø Alerts are intended for people on or near campus. These emergency notifications may not be appropriate for everyone.
• Â鶹Íø Alert will contact every phone number and email address you include in your profile.
• If you choose to be notified via text message regular text messaging rates will apply. Please check with your cell phone provider about your text messaging plan and any costs associated with incoming text messages.
• Â鶹Íø tests the Â鶹Íø Alert system at the beginning of each semester. If you do not receive a Â鶹Íø Alert on the scheduled test date, please .

• Â鶹Íø does not sell, lease, share, or rent personally identifiable information (names, phone numbers, email addresses, etc.) to any companies or persons outside of the College. Contact information you provide in your Â鶹Íø Alert profile will only be used to notify you of a college emergency or college closing.

It is our goal to have all contacts made within 20 minutes of sending the alert. However, circumstances such as the size of the notification audience and the time of day, may affect how quickly all contacts are made.

Voice Messages

• When a Â鶹Íø Alert message is sent, the Â鶹Íø Alert system will call each phone number once, even if the number is entered in the system multiple times.
• Calls from Â鶹Íø Alert system will come from the Â鶹Íø Alert and Information Line 319-296-4444.
• We recommend programming a unique and audible ring tone for calls coming from the Â鶹Íø Alert number, especially if you set your phone to vibrate mode during class or meetings.

Text Messages

• If you've opted-in to receive a text message on your cell phone, watch for a text message from Â鶹Íø Alert.

Email Messages

• The Â鶹Íø Alert message will be sent to your Â鶹Íø email address and any other email address you enter in your Â鶹Íø Alert contact preferences.

If you notice your primary phone number is not correct when reviewing your Â鶹Íø Alert contact information, please update your student or employee record with your current contact information.

Students can change their primary contact information in Self-Service > Click on your name in the blue bar at the top of the page > Select .

Employees please contact Human Resource Services.

• Your primary phone number should be the number you want Â鶹Íø to contact you for all college business.
• Updates to your primary phone number in the Â鶹Íø Alert may take 12–24 hours.

Â鶹Íø is committed to keeping our campus safe and automatically includes all Â鶹Íø students and active employees in the Â鶹Íø Alert system. However, we realize there may be circumstances where you may choose not to be included in the alert notification system.

3. Expand the section "My Groups.
4. Choose your groups you want to unsubscribe or any phone numbers or email address you want to unsubscribe.
5. Click the "Save Finish" button to save the changes.

You may opt back into the system by removing the check mark in the "Opt out" box.

Former students and staff will automatically be taken out of the Â鶹Íø Alert system. You shouldn’t need to take any action when leaving the college.

Request Removal from Â鶹Íø Alert System

If you are not a current student or employee and are receiving Â鶹Íø Alerts in error, please contact us to be removed from the system.

Email Â鶹Íø Alert or call 319-296-4415 and provide your name and the phone number or email address that received the alert.
